On 13 and 15 May at the Palacio de Bellas Artes, Mexico City, Pablo González will conduct the National Symphony Orchestra of Mexico for the first time. Presenting two performances of a programme which features Ravel’s Ma Mère l’oye and Piano Concerto in G, with pianist Mei-Ting Sun and Rachmaninov’s Symphonic Dances.
Pablo then returns to the Scottish Chamber Orchestra for three performances of Mendelssohn’s Overture to Fair Melusina, Strauss’ Concertino for Clarinet and Bassoon, with clarinettist Maximiliano Martin and bassoonist Peter Whelan and Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 1. The concerts take place in Castle Douglas on 26 May, Duns on 27 May and Largs on 28 May.
