Folllowing an outstanding start to the year, Pablo González follows with three important engagements in the next month. Firstly, on 17 and 18 March, Pablo returns to the Spanish National Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra at the Teatro Monumental in Madrid for a programme including Rachmaninov’s Piano ConcertoNo. 2, featuring Juan Pèrez, winner of the 2015 Santander Piano Competition and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5.
Travelling on to Italy for 23 to 26 March, Pablo will make his debut with Orchestra della Toscana with performances in Piombino, Empoli and Florence’s Teatro Verdi and Valdarno. These concerts will feature Busoni’s Clarinet Concerto, with Marco Ortolani, Chopin Piano Concerto No. 2, with Maria Perrotta and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 1.
Pablo then returns to his hometown of Oviedo and the Auditorio Principe Felipe on 31 March and 1 April, to conduct the Provincial Orchestra of Asturias. Joining him as soloist for these concerts will be fellow ICA artist Alena Baeva, performing Brahms’ virtuosic Violin Concerto followed by Nielsen’s Symphony No. 2.
